Annual Membership Meeting, Wednesday May 9

Location: In the Chapel (on the 4th Floor) of the Good Shepherd Center, 4659 Sunnyside Ave N.
Member Check-in: 6:30 PM;  Meeting Starts: 7:00 PM.

The Wallingford Community Council (WCC) will hold its Annual Membership Meeting and Election of Officers on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, 7:00 PM.  We will be electing officers at the meeting.  If you would like to be considered for a nomination for one of those positions, please send an email describing your interest and past level of involvement with the WCC and the neighborhood to lee@raaen.com no later than April 18.

Have you renewed for 2018?

Last year, we moved to a calendar year membership cycle.  Which means that if you joined or renewed your membership after November 2017, then your membership is valid for all of 2018.  To be eligible to vote in the May election, you must renew or join for 2018 no later than April 24, 2018. Election of Officers

This year we will be electing the President, Vice-President, Secretary, and three At Large Board Members. Nominations will be accepted from the floor. The present list of nominees is:

  • President: Miranda Berner
  • Vice President: Ted Hunter
  • Secretary: Karen Dalton
  • At Large 1: Matt Hallett
  • At Large 2: Glenn Singer
  • At Large 3: Donn Cave

To vote at the Annual Meeting, you must have applied for membership and paid the required dues at least 15 days prior to the annual meeting, which for this year is after May 25, 2016, and on or before May 2, 2017.

Election of Officers & Directors

WCC Bylaws require the election of Officers and Directors at its Annual Meeting in May of each year. To vote at the Annual Meeting, you must have applied for membership and paid the required dues at least 15 days prior to the annual meeting, which for this year is after May 25, 2016, and on or before May 2, 2017.

Dues range from $10 (Senior, Student, and Military) to $15 (Individual) to $25 (Family) per year. Dues waivers are available by application to the Board of Directors. Membership information can be found at www.wallingfordcc.org/membership. Dues can be paid online through PayPal or by regular mail.

This year we will be electing the President, Vice-President, Secretary, and three At Large Board Members. Treasurer is a two-year position and is not elected this year. Nominations will be accepted from the floor. The present list of nominees is:

  • The Annual Meeting will take place on Wednesday May 17, 7PM in the Chapel at the Good Shepard Center. The election of officers for the coming year will be followed by a presentation from George Scarola, Director of Homelessness, City of Seattle.
  • Reminder: Anyone wishing to vote must join the Wallingford Community Council and pay dues at least 15 days before the Annual Meeting (on or before May 2).
